Week 7 (IOS compatibility check and start of Dashboard development)

The aim for this week was to create an environment on a macOS machine to test all of the app's existing functionalities on iOS.  Because most development and testing had been done on Android, the primary goal was to ensure seamless operation and compatibility across all platforms.

 Work Done:

1. Set up the Mac development environment and test the program on the iOS emulator.

2. An emulator path problem prohibited the program from launching initially.
The issue was resolved by specifying the emulator path correctly, which enabled the program to launch successfully.

3. Discussed and planned the structure and functionalities for the upcoming Admin Panel (Dashboard).

4. Checked the payment system, which was integrated successfully by Sampurna.

Current Status And Plans:

1. IOS testing is Successful and fully Functional.
2. Development of the Dashboard
3. Upcommig Focus Area include Sherpa Delivery and  then AI Recommendation.

 Week-5 Report  June 28, 2025 My focus this week was on broadening our project by suggesting an idea that lends itself to our aim of tackling the problems of food waste and food accessibility - a Community Fridge Locator and Booking System. The idea was spurred by Starr's own research into local food-sharing projects, where community fridges are emerging as an increasingly popular grassroots solution. By adding a map-based fridge locator to our system, users will be able to see where there are community fridges near them, what is available or needed at which fridges, and they can even claim space to drop off their food. This sort of system can be very helpful for smaller food businesses or supermarkets, or anyone wishing to give away perishables in a speedy, organised fashion.
