Title : Submission and Presentation Feedback

This week was an important phase in our project path, as we completed and submitted our research study and development plan, followed by the information memorandum and our final presentation.

We met with Kriss on Tuesday prior to the submission. After closely examining our work, he noticed a few errors. The feedback was quite helpful, and we swiftly improved the idea to make it stronger overall.

We gave our presentation on Wednesday. Although the content was well-prepared, the feedback pointed out two important areas that we need to improve on: making sure that our project planning is appropriately in line with our stated objectives and enhancing time management throughout delivery. We now have a better idea of how to improve our strategy for upcoming projects thanks to these observations. I was also in charge of assigning each team member a presentation topic. This kept us on task and made sure that everyone knew exactly what their responsibilities were throughout the presentation.

Week-5 Report (Food NextDoor)

 Week-5 Report  June 28, 2025 My focus this week was on broadening our project by suggesting an idea that lends itself to our aim of tackling the problems of food waste and food accessibility - a Community Fridge Locator and Booking System. The idea was spurred by Starr's own research into local food-sharing projects, where community fridges are emerging as an increasingly popular grassroots solution. By adding a map-based fridge locator to our system, users will be able to see where there are community fridges near them, what is available or needed at which fridges, and they can even claim space to drop off their food. This sort of system can be very helpful for smaller food businesses or supermarkets, or anyone wishing to give away perishables in a speedy, organised fashion. Week 5 Report

  Week 5 Report  Project: Food NextDoor This week,  I engaged with some theoretical and technical explore to better understand the online food ordering and delivery ecosystem. This involves reviewing related academic literature on the topic and analyzing how existing systems are organized and tested. I go back to the Trello board to track progress and ensure alignment with the tasks allocated across the team. This helped me to understand better how each component fits into our larger proposal and what indicators are approaching. During our colleague discussion, we focused on finalizing the roadmap and identifying the next steps. The conversation helped clarify roles and expectations, and we also briefly discussed system features that might be adaptable from real-world examples.
