Title : Digital Behaviour of Australians 

Findings:

Australia has 34.4 million mobile connections, which means there are around 128 mobile devices for every 100 people—a significant indication of broad, multi-device use among the population. Meanwhile, 26.1 million residents access the internet, accounting for an impressive 97.1% of the population.48.9% browse using mobile devices and 51.1% preferred desktops or tablets.(Watt 2025). The social acceptance of food-sharing apps is dependent on clear proper rules, local familiarity, and visible safety guidelines.

Week-5 Report (Food NextDoor)

 Week-5 Report  June 28, 2025 My focus this week was on broadening our project by suggesting an idea that lends itself to our aim of tackling the problems of food waste and food accessibility - a Community Fridge Locator and Booking System. The idea was spurred by Starr's own research into local food-sharing projects, where community fridges are emerging as an increasingly popular grassroots solution. By adding a map-based fridge locator to our system, users will be able to see where there are community fridges near them, what is available or needed at which fridges, and they can even claim space to drop off their food. This sort of system can be very helpful for smaller food businesses or supermarkets, or anyone wishing to give away perishables in a speedy, organised fashion. Week 5 Report

  Week 5 Report  Project: Food NextDoor This week,  I engaged with some theoretical and technical explore to better understand the online food ordering and delivery ecosystem. This involves reviewing related academic literature on the topic and analyzing how existing systems are organized and tested. I go back to the Trello board to track progress and ensure alignment with the tasks allocated across the team. This helped me to understand better how each component fits into our larger proposal and what indicators are approaching. During our colleague discussion, we focused on finalizing the roadmap and identifying the next steps. The conversation helped clarify roles and expectations, and we also briefly discussed system features that might be adaptable from real-world examples.
